You’re here because you are ready to make a purchase and just need that extra re-assurance that you are making the right decision. Or, you are looking to compare between the different dishwashers Bosch offers and need more information. My name is Lorne and i’m going to provide you with as much information that you need to make an informed purchase on your new Bosch Dishwasher.
A kitchen is a special place, it’s where we gather for talk, have breakfast, lunch and probably dinner too. Just like a great looking piece of furniture compliments your living room, a dishwasher should compliment your kitchen. However it’s job is much more important than a couch. It’s got to not only look beautiful but it’s got to do a great job and be reliable too. Let’s begin my Bosch Dishwasher Review!
Bosch 800 Series SHPM98W75N
The most popular of the Bosch series is the 800. Out of all the Bosch dishwashers i’ve tested they are all great performers when cleaning is concerned, have sleek looks, dries well and has many desirable features. They feature easy-gliding racks with “MyWay” as an option which is a 3rd rack for soup bowls and such. The racks are adjustable so you can suit them to your needs whatever dishes you have. Now that’s convenient! If you don’t like noisy dishwashers then you’re in luck. How does 39 db sound? Music to your ears I imagine!
Bosch 500 Series SHPM65W55N
The 500 series dishwashers are quiet and can operate as low as 44dB. This is one of the reasons why they are so popular. From tests it’s not just about them operating very quietly but they are fabulous at cleaning dishes too. There are different handle option with stainless – you can choose black or white. With the hidden controls, this series will easily blend in with any custom kitchen. The 500 series also comes with a third rack, leak prevention, and extra drying feature, quick wash cycles and smooth gliding racks.
Bosch 300 Series – SHXM63WS5N
Last year in 2017 the 300 series was all new. Like the higher priced models it still gets its compliments from its quiet operation, great looks and excellent cleaning ability that is synonymous with the Bosch reputation. A 3rd rack is also included which was recently redesigned. It has been improved to have better drying capability and now even has an option for a water softener. With even more design choices than the pricier 500 series, this line is a real hit with the customers!
Bosch Benchmark Series – SHE89PW55N
If you are looking for Bosch’s flagship series of dishwashers, then say hello to their Benchmark series. These units will cost quite a bit more than the 800 series but do offer some fine distinctions. Some of these are:
- quietest dbA rating
- LED touch screens
- Deeper 3rd rack
- telescoping racks
- interior lighting
This series is for buyers that look for the best with additional features. It is clearly not their biggest seller, think of it as the Ferrari of automobiles.
Bosch Ascenta Series – SHS5AV55UC
This is an entry level dishwasher from Bosch. Although decent, it just doesn’t measure up to the other Bosch models. For the money, it just doesn’t have the same value. However the simple controls are nice, with its “scoop” handle and a good sound rating at around 46dBa. The inside tub has both stainless steel and plastic which allows it to have a lower price point than the other models. One thing to mention is that the drying results of this series is not as great as that of the higher priced models. The Ascenta series is affordable and if you can live with these slight drawbacks then perhaps this entry level dishwasher is for you.
